Corinne Skrobot, B.Ed., B.Sc., PT
After practicing traditional physiotherapy for many years, Corinne determined the variety of treatments required to more completely assist clients in pain extended beyond those of physiotherapy alone.
Her investigation of alternative therapies led to osteopathy in which she has developed the ability, using touch and feel, to "hear" the messages the human body naturally attempts to communicate.
With vigorous course work and practical application Corinne has incorporated the tremendous advantages of visceral manipulation and craniosacral therapies to help release the restrictions in connective tissues (fascia) that prevent the body from healing itself.
Corrine further extended her expertise with four years of training to become a certified Iyengar Yoga instructor.
Yoga is a form of fascial release that brings awareness to restricted areas as well as to the body's connectivity as a whole. Corinne provides a custom prescribed yoga-based exercise program individually tailored to you and your lifestyle.
This integrative combination of visceral and craniosacral therapies with traditional physiotherapy and Iyengar Yoga is a uniquely effective package of healing methodologies.
Today, Corinne owns and operates a private physiotherapy practice in East Vancouver and instructs Iyengar Yoga at studios in both Vancouver and North Vancouver.
She is also an associate Physiotherapist at Symmetrics Physiotherapy clinic and frequently works locum coverage at Jericho Physiotherapy clinic in Vancouver.
